Rapid++ is an enhanced version of Air India Cargo’s Rapid service. While Rapid allows cargo acceptance up to 6 hours before departure, Rapid++ enables customers to transport shipments up to 4 hours before take-off, ensuring even greater planning, flexibility and guaranteed uplift.

Rapid++ is ideal for time-sensitive shipments. It offers:

  • Guaranteed space for high-value cargo 
  • Enhanced reliability
  • Priority retrieval
  • Priority handling at origin and destination
  • Reduced risk of offloading

Yes, all Rapid++ shipments can be tracked online through the Air India Cargo tracking portal. Customers will be able to receive real-time updates from acceptance to delivery.

Express products (Rapid, Rapid++) are designed for general cargo. However, any urgent consignments irrespective of the product category will be given priority after necessary approvals. For further assistance, contact customer support at cargocare@airindia.com or +91 9667106666 (Charges may apply).  Dangerous goods are an exception.

Both Air India Rapid and Rapid++ offer guaranteed uplift. If your cargo does not fly as planned, you can apply for refund as per terms and conditions. 

Per terms and conditions, the money-back guarantee does not apply in the following cases:

  • Cargo is delivered after the latest acceptance time.
  • Discrepancies exist between specifications in the confirmed booking details and the actual shipment received, including commodity type differences, weight variations over 5%, and other shipment information.
  • Flight is delayed or cancelled due to force majeure reasons such as weather conditions or natural disaster, strike or dispute, riot or war, or other third-party issues. 
  • Flight disruptions beyond the control of Air India Cargo, such as flight diversions or technical malfunctions.

You get a guaranteed capacity for up to 300 kg on widebody aircraft and up to 100 kg for narrowbody aircraft with our express shipment services Rapid and Rapid++. Our acceptance window for all confirmed express shipments:

  • Rapid shipments - 6 hours before departure
  • Rapid++ shipments - 4 hours before departure

If your cargo booked with express shipping service is found to be missing, damaged, or showing signs of tampering or manipulation during retrieval, it will be reported to the Cargo-in-Charge at the station. Immediate intervention and investigation into the matter will be initiated to ensure that your grievance is redressed as soon as possible. In case your shipment is off-loaded and delayed due to operational constraints, it will be sent on the next available flight to avoid further delays.

Yes, you can only change your shipping speed from Standard to Rapid or Rapid++ before the cargo is accepted.

To avoid penalty, you need to cancel your booking 20 hours before departure of the scheduled flight.
